The Question of 3.17.07...

I was talking to my mom, and I said, "Hmm. what question should I ask today?" She said...

Why is .99999999 (.9 repeating) equal to 1?

(there's a math question for ya....)

I actually think it is because the ratio of .9 to 1 is equal to the 1 squared which then makes the quotient divisible by 1 after you add sin, cosin, and tangent together and graph it on a parallel yet perpindicular plane. And of course once you square b and divide by 3 that equals .9 which is also equal to 1.

Ok, so I have no idea what I am talking about. But those are all the math terms I know so I thought if I put them all in there maybe I would be right. Or just sound like I really have no idea what I am talking about which would be correct.

I would have to say the same as my wife. I know if I saw that number I would just round up to 1, it is much easier to add, subtract, mulitply and divide by than that .99999999 forever number. But there is probably some genius and tricky answer.

Hey Jess!!!!!!!!!

Is this a trick question? Because no matter how many 9s you have there's still going to be an teeny tiny space between .999 *with a line over it* and one...But idk...But yeah, it's so close that you would just round it up to one?

Yeah, Aaron, you were freaking me out there for a second.
